On A mission
Programs

Mobile School Pantry (MSP) was the first school pantry program in the State of Florida established in 2013, and has been in operation for the past nine years. MSP was started to provide nutritious, healthy food items to children and families at low-income schools in South Florida and dedicate our work to creating a future without hunger where all families have access to adequate amounts of nutritious, culturally appropriate foods to learn, grow and thrive.

We are grounded by three core beliefs
that drive all of our programs:

Food security for all

Food is crucial for the well-being and success of all individuals and the foundation of a strong, vibrant society.

Healthy, fresh food is a human right.

Our Programs

MSP signature program is our school pantry, which is unlike other pantry models in existence. Most food pantries rely heavily on non-perishable and processed food items provided in a fixed location. In contrast, MSP provides rotating, pop-up, client choice pantries directly to children and families at Title 1 Elementary schools offering a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables (up to 30 different options in a given pantry), bread and non-perishable food items at no cost in a farmer’s market-style atmosphere.

The mission of MSP’s Fill a Bag, Feed a Family market is to improve access to healthy, affordable food regardless of where someone lives or how much they earn. Sprout will offer fresh produce and other nutrient-dense food to neighborhoods and communities in food deserts. We will also be partnering with local healthcare providers to fill healthy food scripts.
